The Results are in Ladies!!

As most of you know I was trying out which mascara I liked the best, I had a wide range of them and compared them on a few things. 1. Smudge proof   2. Wearability (did it last all day)  3. Full luxurious lashes, and lastly 4. Removal.

The contestants: Max Factor 2000 Calorie,  Maybelline Great Lash "Blackest Black"Clinique  Lash doubling mascara, Almay One coat nourishing mascara and Trish Mcevoy High Volume Mascara in Jet Black.

I would also like to state before I go into detail about these products that this is based off of using each and everyone  of them for 2 days.

Max Factor, the reason I bought this one in the first place was I saw Max Factor listed as a credit for the "I love Lucy" show. Intrigued by this I decided to do a bit more investigating on this man who was a make up artist in the 1950's. Turns out he was the one who invented Lip gloss and the term make-up(which comes from "to make up's one face"). He did not start in the 50's but more in the 1920's as a cosmetician artist for the Russian royal ballet.  His name was not Max Factor but Maximillan Fraktorowicz. I picked out Max Faxtor's 2000 calorie on questioning if you consume 2000 calories it will thicken you up, would it do the same for my lashes?  (note on thicken up, if you consume 2000 calories in the same amount of time it takes you to put on the mascara less then 2 minutes) And yes this was my real reasoning for picking out that one. Let's start at:
Smudge proof: It did stay in place and no noticeable smudging at the end of the day. I will say that I was impressed so it passed.
Wearability:  It really did to seem to last all day no issues, so I'll let it pass.
Full luxurious lashes: I will say I was a tad disappointed, I really wanted my lashes to go from Mary-Kate to Jennifer Hudson, however, it did make them fuller but maybe more of a Kate Winslit. I do think that this mascara does have poetical I think if it was layered on a few more times and maybe used the clear coat before it could have been a tad fuller, but it doesn't quite pass.
The final round, Removal, wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, I couldn't use my normal warm water and washcloth I did need to use a make up remover.

Maybe its Maybelline Great Lash "Blackest Black"? I don't think I'll go into a huge back round story on this one, maybe because it's late or maybe because this one is always highly talked about not only in Glamour but in just about every magazine I've ever picked up. This one somehow is always top of the charts in make-up land. Straight to it, I'm a water works, I'll be the first to admit I get teary eyed at the most random times, and sometime just out of one eye.
Smudge Proof: not so much with this one, I felt that I always had to be on the look out and wipe my eyes so sadly failed Smudge proof.
Wearability: I did have to touch up at about lunch but for the most part my lashes stayed very nicely,  I will say pass.
Full luxurious lashes: This did very well with very few coats, so I can see why this is a must for some. I did enjoy the almost hollywood glamour I could feel with every blink of my lashes.
Removal: You really need a make up remover with this one, otherwise it gets all over with the washcloth.

Clinique  Lash doubling mascara, I chose this one because one of my friends speaks very highly of Clinique, but I guess when you work for them you sorta have to. Most people don't think of mascara when they think of  Clinique. Trust me I didn't as well. You mostly hear of their skin care line and the cute lab coats that the girls wear. (it's the 2nd most recognizable uniform, UPS is 1st)
Smudge Proof: This was a wonder for even my water works. No smudge at the end of the day, easily passed.
Wearability: It lasted all day with no need for a touch up. I will give this an out standing.
Full luxurious lashes: Not so much, this gave me the fresh face doe eyed my lashes just always look perky, look. Which isn't bad, for the I don't look like I need make up look. Does not pass for full lashes.
Removal: Super easy, warm washcloth.

Almay One coat nourishing mascara, this is the same mascara my mom used to use I thought I would give it a go. If anyone else was curious about the name Almay it was from the creators of this line in 1931 Alfred and Fanny May. Alfred was a professional chemist, and Fanny May was his wife, together they created hypoallergenic cosmetics.
Smudge Proof: No smudge at all, didn't have to wipe my eyes or any black debris. This Passed.
Wearability: No touch up's needed and lasted all day, very impressed over all.
Full luxurious lashes: So far fuller then Clinique and Max Factor. Not as full as Great Lash but very close.
Removal: I used my wonderful washcloth and the nice thing about the removal it wasn't messy.

Trish Mcevoy High Volume Mascara in Jet Black. Now I'm sure as your reading this, your thinking to yourself.. what?! I've never heard of this, well it has been my little secret but as all good things need to be shared. I first heard about this when I was working at Us Airways and my friend Snog and Blog told me about this amazing mascara, sure enough she got me hooked. I also knew we would be great friends because she knew what H&M was. The super cool thing about this is, it's a gel formula.
Smudge Proof: None what so ever, because it is a gel there will be no smudging.
Wearability: Lasts all day and the next if you really need it to.  Rain or shine.
Full luxurious lashes:  Not as full as fake but a nice full without making you look vampy.
Removal: You could remove this is the rainforest, in bed or anywhere else in between. Amazing gel can do wonders when it coats the lash it forms a little tube covering it, you can gently squeeze them off or use a wet washcloth.
